Drucker for Today
I had the immense pleasure of spending time with Peter Drucker a few years back. The author has done a terrific job of capturing Drucker’s visionary management concepts and applying them to today’s key business and leadership challenges.
This book has a wonderful foreword about Drucker written by my dear friend A.G. Lafley, Chairman and CEO, Procter & Gamble. I write extensively about how Lafley thinks in my latest book The Opposable Mind. In this foreword you learn a lot about how much Drucker influenced Lafley’s thinking.
Roger Martin, Dean of the Rottman School of The Definitive Drucker Barnes and Noble editors review The Definitive DruckerJanuary 03, 2007
"For 16 months, Elizabeth Edersheim lived every business manager's dream: She worked directly with management icon Peter Drucker, writing about his lifework and his latest insights. During that period, she also interviewed world-class executives, including Jack Welch, A.G. Lafley, John Bachmann, and Bill Donaldson about Drucker's influence on them. The resultant book, rightly titled The Definitive Drucker, elucidates the master's most influential concepts, explaining how they shape organizational strategies and business trends today. Edersheim draws heavily on interviews with Drucker himself, supplemented by her own commentary and insights from industry moguls about these timeless principles. A surefire business classic from Day One." 800ceoread puts The Definitive Drucker in its Monthly Top 25 readsJanuary 05, 2007 Video Interview with Elizabeth Haas EdersheimJanuary 18, 2007 In the first quarter 2007, Directors & Boards ranked The Definitive Drucker as one of the best bets for board readingJanuary 31, 2007 Consulting Magazine offers their view on The Definitive DruckerFebruary 06, 2007 Management Scope (Netherlands) rates The Definitive Drucker 5 stars, says “Read it!”February 15, 2007 It is rare indeed to hear someone speak to us from the world to come.
